The breakfast spread is impressive, featuring generous portions of fresh fruit, cereals, and a hot breakfast that kick-starts the day nicely. Hand sanitizer is incredibly accessible throughout, reflecting a solid commitment to hygiene.
The Double Room I had looked like it was still channeling the '70s vibes, with artex on the walls and a bathroom that could use a serious update, including an odd shower setup next to a window. As for parking, the town offers limited overnight options, which turned into a bit of hassle with multiple trips to the ticket machine. not a huge deal, but a minor annoyance. expect to wake up early, thanks to friendly neighborhood seagulls that seem to have no regard for sleep.

Had a blast with friends! The location was spot on—just minutes from the harbor. We loved the breakfast, especially the bacon and sausages. Check out the local arts and crafts markets. they’re a must-see. Highly recommend for groups looking to enjoy some quality time together!
One downside was the lack of effort from the staff. I was hoping for a friendly drink service in the evening, but the bar wasn't open.

A Wonderful Stay with Unforgettable Breakfast!
We had an exceptional experience! The room was spacious and well-furnished with a cozy sofa. Breakfast stole the show. the full English was superb, with a delightful vegan option as well. Just a short walk from the harbor – perfect for morning strolls. Don't miss the toast bar!

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the harbour. The breakfast options impressed me with their freshness and variety. I appreciated the homemade touch with cooked-to-order items. The decor had a quirky charm that made it feel cozy. parking was a hassle, requiring multiple trips to the ticket machine, which was inconvenient. I encountered some noise from neighboring rooms that affected my sleep. the staff were friendly, but I wished for a more vibrant atmosphere in the evenings, particularly regarding bar availability. The cleanliness was spot-on, adding to the comfort of my stay.

smugglers haunt was really cozy n clean! the breakfast was super tasty, definitely best b&b breakfast ever! the staff were chill n helped us with everything, even gave us good tips 'bout local spots. the location is spot on, right by the harbor n town center! loved the quirky decor too, it made it feel homey.
only thing was no parking on-site, so we had to walk a bit. also, the room was kinda small for us.

I really enjoyed my stay, especially with the freshly cooked breakfast and the lovely upgrade to a room with a bath after my long day on the Coast Path. It was so nice to unwind by the quirky bar area or hear the church bells ring in the distance. The only thing is, parking is a bit of a hassle, but it wasn’t a big deal since I found a long-stay car park nearby. 😊

great place but small room for solo travelers
The breakfasts stood out for their quality, easily rivaling those at five-star hotels. the staff were exceptionally friendly, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
The room I stayed in felt a bit cramped for my needs.

Friendly staff and tasty brekkie!
Mark was super welcoming when we arrived. The room was spacious and clean. We had tea, coffee, and a fridge, which was a nice touch! Breakfast was yum, especially the poached eggs. The only bummer was that parking should be booked in advance. But overall, a solid spot for a weekend getaway.
